► Before the defense of a master's thesis, and for theses that have received corrections, the student completes the thesis and submits it to their advisor. The advisor, along with their opinion that the thesis is defensible, submits the thesis and an originality report from the plagiarism software to the institute through the department. The institute obtains a plagiarism software report for the thesis in question and sends it to the advisor and the jury members. If actual plagiarism is detected in the report, the thesis, along with the justification, is sent to the institute's administrative board for a decision.
► The master's thesis jury is appointed upon the recommendation of the thesis advisor and the relevant department head, and with the approval of the institute's administrative board. The jury consists of three to five faculty members: one from the student's thesis advisor and at least one from outside the university. If the jury consists of five faculty members, at least two of the jury members must be from outside the university. If the jury consists of three members, the second thesis advisor cannot be a jury member.
► The jury members will meet within fifteen days, at the earliest, and within one month, at the latest, of the date the thesis is submitted to them to administer the thesis examination. The thesis examination consists of a presentation of the thesis work followed by a question-and-answer session. The thesis examination is open to faculty, graduate students, field experts, and other audience members.
